Roanoke Minnick Abundance Pantry
We recently celebrated the opening of the Minnick Abundance Pantry, designed to support all our families by ensuring that everyone has access to essential food and toiletries. This pantry is built on the strength of our community and the belief that when we share resources, everyone wins.
And our community sure did turn out to celebrate this new program! A special shout-out to Larry and Allie Schoff who spearheaded and supported this pantry, in honor of his late mother, and to Pinnacle Financial Partners for sponsoring the event. Thanks also to Roanoke County Sheriff's Office for grilling hotdogs and hanging out with our students, and to Roanoke County Fire & Rescue Department for teaching students about fire safety. And, of course, we greatly appreciate our community members, local businesses and enCircle staff who so graciously donated items to the pantry. Some of the gifts came from the following: Rennie Bruno, Debbie Daniel, Ranny Grubb, Beth Gifford, Danielle Wilcox, Larry Schoff, Ashley Martin, Lynez Humphries and LAT Dentistry. A genuine thank you is extended to all! It was a beautiful day of games, music, food and, most of all, sharing.
The goal of Minnick's food pantry is to create a place where people can find what they need, discreetly and without judgment, to feel secure, warm and nourished. The pantry is a reflection of our commitment to each other and a tangible way for all of us to help make the world a more loving place.
